![]() ![]() 24 Now as the church submits to Christ, so also wives should submit to their husbands in everything. 23 For the husband is the head of the wife as Christ is the head of the church, his body, of which he is the Savior. 22 Wives, submit to your husbands as to the Lord. 21 Submit to one another out of reverence for Christ. Sing and make music in your heart to the Lord, 20 always giving thanks to God the Father for everything, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. 19 Speak to one another with psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. 18 Do not get drunk on wine, which leads to debauchery. 17 Therefore do not be foolish, but understand what the Lord's will is. This is why it is said: "Wake up, O sleeper, rise from the dead, and Christ will shine on you." 15 Be very careful, then, how you live-not as unwise but as wise, 16 making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil. 13 But everything exposed by the light becomes visible, 14 for it is light that makes everything visible. 12 For it is shameful even to mention what the disobedient do in secret. 11 Have nothing to do with the fruitless deeds of darkness, but rather expose them. Live as children of light 9 (for the fruit of the light consists in all goodness, righteousness and truth) 10 and find out what pleases the Lord. 8 For you were once darkness, but now you are light in the Lord. ![]() 7 Therefore do not be partners with them. 6 Let no one deceive you with empty words, for because of such things God's wrath comes on those who are disobedient. 5 For of this you can be sure: No immoral, impure or greedy person-such a man is an idolater-has any inheritance in the kingdom of Christ and of God. 4 Nor should there be obscenity, foolish talk or coarse joking, which are out of place, but rather thanksgiving. 3 But among you there must not be even a hint of sexual immorality, or of any kind of impurity, or of greed, because these are improper for God's holy people. 18 And we, who with unveiled faces all reflect the Lord's glory, are being transformed into his likeness with ever-increasing glory, which comes from the Lord, who is the Spirit.ฤก Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children 2 and live a life of love, just as Christ loved us and gave himself up for us as a fragrant offering and sacrifice to God. 17 Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom. 16 But whenever anyone turns to the Lord, the veil is taken away. 15 Even to this day when Moses is read, a veil covers their hearts. It has not been removed, because only in Christ is it taken away. ![]() 14 But their minds were made dull, for to this day the same veil remains when the old covenant is read. 13 We are not like Moses, who would put a veil over his face to keep the Israelites from gazing at it while the radiance was fading away. 11 And if what was fading away came with glory, how much greater is the glory of that which lasts! 12 Therefore, since we have such a hope, we are very bold. 7 Now if the ministry that brought death, which was engraved in letters on stone, came with glory, so that the Israelites could not look steadily at the face of Moses because of its glory, fading though it was, 8 will not the ministry of the Spirit be even more glorious? 9 If the ministry that condemns men is glorious, how much more glorious is the ministry that brings righteousness! 10 For what was glorious has no glory now in comparison with the surpassing glory. 6 He has made us competent as ministers of a new covenant-not of the letter but of the Spirit for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 5 Not that we are competent in ourselves to claim anything for ourselves, but our competence comes from God. 4 Such confidence as this is ours through Christ before God. 3 You show that you are a letter from Christ, the result of our ministry, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2 You yourselves are our letter, written on our hearts, known and read by everybody.
